Do you want to know if your Facebook page is effective or not?

I don’t mean your personal page, I mean your business page.

First lets define effective. Effective ultimately means get them off of Facebook into your office.

It is not the number of people that Like your Page and not the number of posts you create that make it effective, In fact those have no value at all.

It’s the number of people that call your office and get under care.

If you have some other motive to be on Facebook that is fine, but you don’t need a business page to tell the world your spouse is your best friend or how proud you are of your kids.

So what makes a Facebook business page effective according to Facebook not some guru looking to sell you something, so that your page accomplishes the goal of getting people in your office.

First, you want your posts to be seen in the newsfeed not on your page as almost no one ever sees what you post on your page. It is the newsfeed that is the key to effectiveness.

Videos are almost 50% more likely to be seen in the news feed than images. Go look at your Facebook Page. Are you posting videos or are you posting pictures? If you are a picture poster or are even paying someone to post images for you, you are not going to be effective.

New Yorker Magazine, proclaimed video as the thing every creator on the internet must do right now.

And if you are just writing posts rather than using video. According to Facebook almost no one will ever see those in the newsfeed.

Next, If you are posting videos, see if you are using the native Facebook video App or posting just youtube or Vimeo Urls.

The native Facebook video upload App gives much more engagement than posting the URLs from other sites and the ones from URLs like YouTube now have a good chance of never being seen.

Third, if you are using video, Live streaming video has 10 times more people commenting than even using the native Facebook Video upload App.
